When the Palisades Community Foundation sprung to life 10 years ago, then known as the Jolly Rogers Society, our goal was to provide a well-rounded quality educational experience to every student in the school district. Believing that a true education includes strong athletic and artistic programs in addition to academics, we wanted to provide a place for the STARS of Palisades to shine. |

Since 1996 PCF has accomplished close to $1,000,000 worth of community- and school-focused projects:
- Stadium Lights for Walter T. Rohrer Stadium
- Four new Tennis Courts, enabling Palisades to re-instate the sport
- Renovation of outdoor Basketball Courts
- Visitors Bleachers
- Ticket Booth at stadium entrance

Our most ambitious project to-date is the eight-lane All-Weather Track which was installed in August 2006. The renovated Track & Field opened to much fanfare at the half-time Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on September 1, 2006 and will enable our nationally recognized teams to break more records. It has also transformed Walter T. Rohrer Stadium into a safe and inviting gathering place for every member of the Palisades community. |

PCF pledged $250,000 to help pay for the new track. We are in the midst of satisfying that $250,000 pledge. To-date, and thanks to the community, we have given $210,000 to the school district's capital fund leaving $40,000 to meet our pledge.

A very easy way to raise the balance of the pledge is to sell commemorative bricks in the STARWay Walk of Fame. Your tax-deductible gift of $100 will purchase a personalized paver, engraved with your own original sentiment. Your Limited Edition brick will be placed in the STARWay Walk of Fame where it will be seen by generations of Palisades residents. PCF needs your help in filling the STARWay. There are over 1,000 unclaimed bricks. We hope at least one has your name on it! |
