Palisades Community Foundation Launches New Program for the Holidays
Kintnersville, PA -- December 1, 2008 - Holiday 2008 marks another first for the Palisades Community Foundation (PCF). We are launching a new program designed to help the needy in our community---the SHARE Program. We are pleased to announce that the Palisades Pirates Youth Crew (PPYC) will participate with PCF on this worth-while venture.
PCF recognizes that for some in the Palisades Community, this is a tough time of year. PCF wants to help make December a little more joyous for all. We are reaching out to the Palisades community--individuals and businesses:
- Monetary donations by credit card are being accepted through a special “Donate” link on our website www.PCFnow.com or by check through the mail. These funds will be used to purchase and distribute gift cards to the needy in the community to use for food purchases or heating oil purchases for example.
- Donations of health & beauty products, over-the-counter cold medicines, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, first aid products, canned goods, non-perishable food, and toys are also being accepted. All donations will then be given to The Lord’s Pantry at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ottsville.
Donations can be given directly to members of PPYC or PCF, or dropped-off at In Motion Tire & Performance, 8044 Rt. 611, Ottsville until 12/22/08.
Every little bit helps, and we look to the Palisades Community to help make SHARE as successful as the Community has made our other programs and events.
