5K Challenge

PCF knows that health and fitness is a crucial piece of our daily lives and therefore is an important part of our contribution to the community. On Saturday May 3, 2008 we will sponsor our annual event, the Palisades Community Foundation 5K Challenge!!

The 5K Challenge is open to anyone interested in participating. The accurate 5-kilometer course is equal to 3.11 miles and will meander through the rolling country roads of Nockamixon Township in Upper Bucks County.

Prizes will be awarded to the Top-3 males and females overall:

1st place - $150
2nd place - $75
3rd place - $25

Running trophies will be awarded to the Top-3 males and females in each age group:

11 & under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

In order for all to feel welcome, we have added a 1 Mile Community Walk. Trophies will be awarded to the Top-3 males and females. The first 500 entrants will be given a custom-designed 5K Challenge tee shirt for participating.

There is still plenty of time to become a proud sponsor of the 5K Challenge which promises to become an annual athletic event in our community. Sponsorships are as follows:

Title Sponsor - $5,000
Champion Level - $500
Runner Level - $200
Supporter Level - $50

All proceeds from the event will go towards the PCF $250,000 pledge for the new All-Weather Track. Sponsors receive benefits based on the level of sponsorship purchased, ranging from appearing in all newspaper, TV, and radio ads and press releases to being listed on the race tee shirts. Registration fees for the 5K Challenge are $15/person ($25/person-day of event) or $35/family ($45/family-day of event). *A family is defined as 3 or more people of the same family.

Registration for the 1 Mile Community Walk is $10/person ($15/person-day of event) or $25/family ($30/family-day of event). *A family is defined as 3 or more people of the same family.
